Our young actors had a great afternoon in Reader's Theater! We read Boo to a Goose by Mem Fox. Mem is from Australia, and she states that she wrote Boo to a Goose because it is a saying they use in Australia. We usually say, "they are afraid of their own shadow!". If you lived in Australia you would say, "They wouldn't say boo to a goose!"
She loved the phrase so much that she wrote an entire book about it.
